            TL;DR: Your resume data stays on YOUR device. We only store your email and credits in the
            cloud. We never sell or share your data.

🖥️ Local Storage (Your Device Only)

The following data is stored only on your device using Chrome's local storage. This data never leaves your computer:

Master Resume Profile: Your name, contact info, work history, education, skills, etc.
Generated Resumes: Tailored versions created for specific jobs.
Theme Preferences: Your favorite resume templates.

☁️ Cloud Storage (Firebase)

We store minimal data in the cloud to support account functionality:

Email: From your Google account for identification.
Credits: Your remaining generation credits.
Join Date: When you created your account.
Last Generation Time: Timestamp of your last resume generation.

            Important: We do NOT store your resume content, job descriptions, or generated resumes in
            the cloud. All of that stays on your device.
        

🔐 How We Protect Your Data

Secure Authentication: We use Google Sign-In - we never see or store your password.
Encrypted Connections: All data transfers use HTTPS encryption.
Firestore Security Rules: You can only access your own data - no one else can see it.
No Third-Party Sharing: We never sell, rent, or share your data with anyone.

🤖 AI Processing

When you generate a tailored resume:

Your profile and job description are sent to our secure Cloud Function.
We use AI (DeepSeek/OpenAI) to optimize your resume for the job.
The AI response is returned to your extension and stored locally.
We do not log or permanently store the content sent to AI.

🗑️ Data Deletion

You have full control over your data:

Local Data: Clear anytime via Chrome Extension settings or by uninstalling the extension.
Cloud Data: Contact us at rosh.polekar@gmail.com to request account deletion.
